Am Freitag dem 16.01. geht es weiter mit den Anwärtern für den Green Chilies Award, der Nachfolger der “Shorts Competition 1” (lief am Donnerstag), die “Shorts Competition 2”, wird wieder ab 22 Uhr im Babylon Mitte zu sehen sein.

Weitere Anwärter auf die Stimmen des Publikums und damit vielleicht bald schon Gewinner des Awards, sind “Tropical Manila” aus Korea (20 Uhr Babylon Mitte, Saal 2) und, seine deutsche Premiere feiernd: “They Call Me Monkey!” von der indonesischen Schriftstellerin, Schauspielerin & Regisseurin Djenar Maesa Ayu (20 Uhr Babylon Mitte, Saal 1).

Um 19.30 Uhr wird im Oval des Babylon Mitte (obere Etage) unser erster Panel stattfinden. Die Filmemacher Riri Riza, Mira Lesmana & Edwin werden über Independent Cinema und die Zukunft der indonesischen Filmindustrie reden.

On Friday, the 16th of January more competitors for the Green Chilies Award will present themselves to the critical audience. “Shorts Competition 2” is screened at 10 pm (Babylon Mitte).

More possible “soon-to-be-winners” are “Tropical Manila” from Corea (8 pm, Babylon Mitte, Screen 2) and, celebrating its german premiere: “They Call Me Monkey!”, made by indonesian author, actress and director Djena Maesa Ayu (8 pm, Babylon Mitte, Screen1).

At 7.30 pm our first Panel will take place in the Oval at the Babylon Mitte (upstairs). The Filmmakers Riri Riza, Mira Lesmana & Edwin will talk about Independent Cinema and the future of the indonesian film industry.
